Kalitta Air seeks a First Officer to safely assist the Captain in operating cargo aircraft in compliance with all FAA regulations. This position requires a minimum of 2500 total hours with 1500 turbine hours and 500 PIC hours, and is based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. U.S. citizenship is required.
Requirements
- FAA Multi-Engine Airline Transport Certificate or Restricted Multi-Engine Airline Pilot Certificate
- Minimum 2500 hours total flight time (4000 hours preferred)
- Minimum 1500 turbine (jet) flight time
- Minimum 500 PIC turbine (jet) flight time
- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- FCC Radio License
- Current U.S. Passport
- No international travel restrictions
- Ability to pass 10-year security background check
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficiency in reading, writing and understanding English
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work in confined areas for extended periods
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Previous FAR 121 experience preferred
- Perform preflight and post-flight inspections
- Assist with crew coordination and paperwork
- Operate aircraft with attention to policy and procedures
- Report unsafe conditions during ground and flight operations
