About This Role
Seven Four Eight Air Services is recruiting an experienced First Officer for Dash 8 Q400 operations based at Nairobi station, Kenya. This is a line flying position with a focus on commercial regional operations. Candidates must have a minimum of 2500 total flight hours with 1000 hours PIC and 500 hours on type, along with a valid CPL or ATPL, Instrument Rating, and Class I Medical Certificate. The position requires current crew resource management, aviation security, and dangerous goods certifications, with fluent English at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Dash 8 Q400 aircraft on scheduled regional routes
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and crew briefings
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures
- Manage crew resource management protocols
- Complete required flight documentation and reports
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
- Minimum 2500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 500 hours on Dash 8 Q400 aircraft type
- Valid Instrument Rating
- Aircraft type endorsement on license
- Valid Class I Medical Certificate
- ICAO English proficiency Level 4 or higher
- Current Crew Resource Management (CRM) course certification
- Current Aviation Security Course certification
- Current Dangerous Goods course certification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in related field (preferred)
- Valid Kenyan ATPL (for application submission)
- Clean criminal record (subject to background check)
