About This Role
Porter Airlines is seeking First Officers to operate the modern De Havilland Dash 8-400 turboprops across their expanding North American network. As a 4-Star Airline® based in Toronto, Porter offers industry-leading pay for Dash 8-400 operators with recognition for Years-of-Service from other carriers, plus the fastest upgrade path to narrow-body jet Captain positions in Canada. Candidates need a minimum of 1,000 total flight hours and a Transport Canada ATPL license, with an aviation degree as an asset. This position offers rapid career advancement as Porter welcomes over 1,200 new pilots in the next 4 years, making it an exceptional opportunity for quick seniority progression and quick upgrade to Captain.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft on scheduled routes
- Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including hazard reporting
- Conduct pre-flight checks and crew briefings
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers
- Collaborate with crew members to achieve organizational goals
- Maintain highest personal and professional standards
- Comply with Company Safety Policy and procedures

Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) License or IATRA equivalent
- Minimum 1,000 hours total flight time
- Aviation College or University Degree (asset)
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Years-of-Service on Dash 8-400 at other carriers recognized
- Excellent safety record and commitment to SMS
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Eligible to work in Canada
