About This Role
Western Global Airlines, the world's fastest growing cargo airline, is hiring First Officers for their B747-400 and MD-11 fleet based in Estero, Florida. This home-based position offers pilots the opportunity to operate wide-body cargo aircraft on worldwide charter flights serving e-commerce, express freight, and governmental organizations. Candidates must hold a current FAA ATPL with 2500+ total flight hours, valid Class 1 Medical, and preferably 1000 hours of Part 121 experience with previous type rating experience. The role features a 17-day tour of duty schedule and requires a valid US passport for unrestricted international travel due to military contract requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate B747-400 and MD-11 aircraft on cargo charter flights
- Comply with all Western Global Airlines approved manuals and FAA regulations
- Conduct airport and route qualifications
- Maintain flight time limitations and currency requirements
- Perform pre-flight inspections and crew briefings
- Ensure compliance with Operations Specifications and Airworthiness Directives
- Maintain uniform discipline and adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Current and valid FAA ATPL license
- Valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- ICAO English Level IV or higher
- Minimum 2500 hours total flight time
- No history of accidents or incidents
- Valid US passport allowing unrestricted international travel
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug test
- Pass 10-year background check
- Previous Part 121 airline/aviation experience preferred
- B747-400 or MD-11 type rating preferred
- Minimum 1000 hours Part 121 operations preferred
- Up to 500 hours military PIC time on multiengine turbine aircraft can count towards experience
