About This Role
Breeze Airways is hiring Airbus A220 First Officers to join 'The World's Nicest Airline' and help deliver safe, timely flight operations across the United States. The airline is a newer carrier focused on making travel simple, affordable, and convenient through technology and kindness. Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings (or ATP), with minimum 1,500 total flight hours including 500 hours fixed-wing turbine time and 250 hours PIC. This position offers competitive hourly pay ($105-$158/hour depending on year), comprehensive health and dental benefits, 401(k) matching, generous PTO, and travel privileges on Breeze and partner airlines, with potential for rapid upgrade to Captain.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and timely flight operations in accordance with Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of A220 equipment, FARs, Company manuals, operations specifications, and policies
- Plan flights in accordance with weather information, Company policies, and applicable regulations
- Ensure qualification for assigned flight including flight/duty time limits, training, proficiency checks, and medical currency
- Perform all duties assigned by Captain during flight operations
- Assess risk and employ proper resources to maintain acceptable risk levels during all phases of operations
- Apply CRM concept of 'Assertiveness with Respect'
- Maintain high proficiency and thorough knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems
- Develop technically and professionally in preparation for transition to PIC
- Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure airworthy condition of aircraft
- Become familiar with departure, arrival, and alternate station weather before each flight
- Assist with proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo when other personnel unavailable
- Observe Rules of Conduct outlined in Company Team Member Playbook and Pilot Playbook
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Company

Requirements
- Minimum 23 years old at time of hire
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings
- Current ATP Written exam completed (if FAA ATP not held)
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours fixed-wing turbine time
- Minimum 750 hours fixed-wing time
- Minimum 500 hours cross-country
- Minimum 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
- Minimum 100 hours night flying
- Minimum 75 hours instrument
- Minimum 50 hours actual multi-engine flying
- Actively flying two of the past five years
- Ability to join a class within six months of application
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge, skills, and ability to upgrade to Captain in short period
- Accurate pilot training history maintained per FAA Pilot Records Database regulations
- Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
- Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator's Permit
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Valid passport
- Unrestricted travel ability to and from United States
- Pass DOT pre-employment drug test
- Pass TSA fingerprint-based criminal history records check
- Pass Breeze Airways background check
- Authorization to work in United States per Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language
