Wipaire seeks an experienced Fire Boss Chief Pilot to provide flight instruction, pilot management, and training oversight for AT-802 amphibious aircraft. Requires 3000 hours TT, 400 hours seaplane (ASES), and 200 hours Fire Boss experience. Based in South St. Paul, Minnesota with full benefits package and first shift schedule.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Pilot Certification (ATP preferred)
- Current Flight Instructor Certificate with single engine and instrument ratings (multi-engine preferred)
- Minimum 3000 hours total flying time
- 400 hours in airplane single engine sea (ASES)
- 200 hours Fire Boss aircraft experience
- 200 hours low-level flight (below 500 feet AGL) preferred, including at least 100 hours dispensing fire retardant or water
- Airtractor 802 Instructor Certification
- Complex aircraft endorsement
- High performance endorsement
- Tail wheel endorsement
- Seaplane rating required
- Instrument rating required
- Type certified in applicable aircraft
- Current United States passport
- Pass FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate
- Comply with drug testing requirements
- Previous low-level disbursement/aircraft firefighting experience required
- Able to work unsupervised and manage multiple priorities
- Valid English language proficiency for communication and instruction
- Able to perform occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willing to travel approximately 40% (primarily domestic, potential international)
