About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Falcon 2000LX Captain to fly from Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Florida. The Captain commands the Falcon 2000LX on an assigned client account, operating safely and professionally in line with Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity while meeting the travel needs of the operation's clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Falcon 2000LX and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- carrying out a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route of flight and at all airports to be used, including alternates
- ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Flight experience minimums: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours pilot-in-command (PIC)
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours multi-engine land PIC
- 500 hours turbojet time
- and 250 hours instrument. The pilot must be type rated on the Falcon 2000LX or a comparable aircraft and hold a current First Class medical certificate. The role requires availability to work on an on-call basis, the ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually, and a primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KOPF (or willingness to relocate).
