Aero, a premium private-terminal flight service operating custom jets, is hiring a Captain (Pilot-in-Command) for its Embraer (EMB) operation based at Teterboro (TEB), New Jersey. Duties & Responsibilities
- Set a high standard for providing customers with safe and reliable travel, and ensure their safety and comfort throughout.
- Handle a wide variety of situations while working alongside other team members and customers, operating both independently and as part of a team with limited supervision.
- Provide leadership by responding to a range of emergency and non-emergency situations.
- The role involves working in varied climates and locations across the globe and on variable shifts.
What We Offer
First-year pay ranges from $120,000 to $138,000, with the exact figure depending on experience and an eligibility for an increase on each company anniversary.Additional compensation includes a monthly stipend of $800 for travel and $200 for wellness, plus per diem of $25 for a single turn, $35 for two or more turns, $50 for overnights and $45 for training.The schedule guarantees a minimum of 15 days off per month with many overnights in base.Time off includes accrued vacation, sick and bereavement leave, and benefits cover medical, dental, vision, life, disability and a 401(k).
Requirements
- Candidates need excellent communication skills with quick, accurate decision making and close attention to detail. An ATP license is required, specifically a current Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) rating for multi-engine aircraft, along with at least one year of Part 135/121 experience. Applicants must hold a valid First Class Medical Certificate and a valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. They must be able to work varying hours of the day or night, including weekends and holidays, secure the appropriate airport-authority and/or Customs security badges, pass TSA criminal background checks, and pass DOT drug screening
- the ability to learn and work with PEDs is also required. Applicants must have the right to work in the United States and hold a valid passport with documentation permitting re-entry to the U.S. after an international flight. Because this is a DOT safety-sensitive position under 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40, all prospective employees are subject to pre-employment testing for marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids and phencyclidine (PCP).
