CAE Simuflite seeks an EMB-145 Instructor Pilot in Las Vegas to deliver simulator and ground school instruction. Requires professional pilot license (CPL/ATPL preferred), 3000+ hours total flight time, and instructor qualifications. Position offers career progression to Training Center Evaluator role after 1.5+ years.
Requirements
- High School diploma or state-issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Hold or have held a professional pilot's license
- 2–5 years of relevant job experience
- Previous experience teaching or training others (preferred)
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation
- Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs
- Ability to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4–6 hours with limited breaks
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn
- Existing instructor qualification or aircraft type rating (preferred)
- FAR Part 135 experience (preferred)
- 3,000+ hours of total flight time (preferred)
- Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create a positive and effective learning environment
- Ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records
- For internal candidates: In good standing and TCE-qualified on the EMB-145 or currently a TCE on another platform
