Freeman Jet Center is seeking a Director of Flight Operations for their FAR Part 135 operations in Abilene, TX. This role requires significant leadership experience as a pilot, with a minimum of 3000 total flight hours and 1200 hours PIC. The position involves both office-based management and active pilot duties.
Requirements
- Minimum 3000 hours total time
- 1200 hours pilot in command
- 500 hours cross country time
- 100 hours of night time
- 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time
- Prior FAR Part 135 experience as Chief Pilot or Director of Operations
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent years of professional aviation experience
- Meet all required qualifications stated in CFR Part 119.71
- Current and valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- Able to maintain a Second-Class Medical
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work as a part of a team in a high stress, fast paced environment
- Highly motivated, organized, and attentive to detail
- Extremely computer proficient and capable with financial spreadsheets
- Knowledgeable of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- No violation of FAA regulations within the last five (5) years
- King Air 90/200 operating experience (highly desirable)
