About This Role
Loganair, the UK's largest regional airline, is seeking experienced Direct Entry Captains to join their operation across multiple bases and fleets. This is a permanent full-time position for captains with current command experience on multi-crew aircraft, offering a competitive salary of £76,988-£101,584 plus sector pay. The role offers excellent work-life balance with mostly home-based rosters published 6 weeks in advance, flexible working options, and generous annual leave (29-34 days). Candidates must hold a valid UK CAA ATPL with current Class 1 Medical and have the right to live and work in the UK, with type rating on ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 being desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hold full responsibility for safety, security, and operation of the aircraft, crew, and passengers
- Oversee all aspects of aircraft operation during flights
- Make critical decisions during normal and non-normal operations
- Lead and support the flight crew, setting professional standards onboard
- Ensure all procedures are followed and adapted safely as needed
- Set an example in communication, professionalism, and safety culture

Requirements
- Valid UK CAA ATPL license
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Currently or recently operated in command on multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10 tonnes or 19+ passengers)
- Right to live and work in the UK
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety practices
- Valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 Type Rating (desirable)
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
