About This Role
Loganair, the UK's largest regional airline, is recruiting experienced Direct Entry Captains to operate ATR-42 aircraft from its Manchester crew hub, serving Isle of Man operations. This permanent, full-time position offers competitive salary with 100% pay from day one of induction, plus excellent work-life balance with a 5 days on/4 nights off roster pattern. Candidates must hold a current UK CAA ATPL with Class 1 Medical and recent command experience on multi-crew aircraft, with an ATR type rating desirable but not essential as training is provided. Duties & Responsibilities
- Hold full responsibility for aircraft safety, security, and operation
- Oversee all aspects of aircraft operation during flights
- Make critical decisions during normal and non-normal operations
- Lead and support the flight crew, setting professional standards
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Demonstrate leadership in communication, professionalism, and safety culture

Requirements
- Full ATPL (UK CAA) license
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Currently or recently operated in command on multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ pax)
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety practices
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills
- Proven teamwork and crew collaboration experience
- Valid ATR 42/72 Type Rating (desirable)
- ICAO English proficiency
