About This Role
JetSMART is seeking experienced Direct Entry Captains to operate A320 family aircraft from their Lima base in Peru. The airline is a growing low-cost carrier offering competitive opportunities for qualified pilots. Candidates must have a minimum of 3000 total flight hours with 1500 hours as Captain in commercial jet operations. This Direct Entry Captain position offers the opportunity to command A320 aircraft on scheduled routes with a dynamic Latin American carrier.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate A320 aircraft following established routes and flight patterns
- Exercise command responsibility for aircraft, crew, passengers, cargo, and baggage safety during flight
- Develop and communicate flight plans to crew
- Verify meteorological conditions for takeoff, cruise, and destination
- Monitor aircraft weight and balance
- Review fuel load
- Communicate with air traffic control
- Make emergency decisions and manage critical situations
- Demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities
- Maintain composure under pressure
Requirements
- Minimum 3000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1500 hours as Captain (CP) on commercial jet aircraft
- Direct Entry Captain qualification
- Valid ATPL license
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Eligible to live and work in Peru
