About This Role
Dynamic Aviation is hiring a Deployed DHC8 Captain to provide pilot services for tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft in austere locations. The captain will fly Dash-8 functional check flights and CONUS or OCONUS ISR operations, conduct precise aerial surveys across varied weather and terrain, comply with FAA, Air Force, and company guidance, communicate with customers, support mission operations on non-flying days, and operate airborne sensors and communications equipment after training. The assignment requires approximately 65 days away from home on a customer-driven rotational basis, potentially longer if needed, but relocation is not required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The deployed DHC8 ISR Captain provides pilot services for tactical ISR aircraft in austere locations. Duties include piloting the Dash-8 in company operations involving functional check flights, OCONUS or CONUS ISR flight activities, and other assigned flight responsibilities
- performing precise aerial survey flying in all types of weather and terrain driven by diverse sensor requirements
- knowing and complying with Federal Aviation Regulations, applicable Air Force Service Guidance, and company standards
- representing Dynamic Aviation with a confident and professional pilot image to customers and the general public
- providing daily communications to customers while on assignment
- performing Mission Briefing Officer duties as assigned
- covering office duties on non-flying days to support mission aircraft operations
- operating ELINT, E/O IR, and other airborne sensors and communications equipment, with training provided
- and completing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Required qualifications include a high school diploma
- an Air Transport Pilot certificate or a current FAA Commercial Pilot License with instrument and multi-engine ratings
- high-performance and high-altitude endorsements
- a first- or second-class FAA medical certificate
- and a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit. Applicants must have at least 1,200 hours of total time and 1,000 hours of PIC time, including 300 hours of PIC time in multi-engine turboprop aircraft. A DOD Secret security clearance is required, while DOD TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Preferred qualifications include some college education, a Dash 8 type rating, 3,000 hours of total PIC time, 1,000 hours of total turbine time, 200 hours of PIC time in the Dash 8, at least one year of previous deployed experience, proficiency with the MS Office Suite, working knowledge of computer operating systems and other relevant field technology, and previous sensor-operation experience. Additional requirements include the ability to travel away from the home location for approximately 65 days on a customer-driven rotation, longer if needed, without relocating
