About This Role
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems seeks an experienced Corporate Pilot to support their Shuttle Flight Operations group in Poway, California. The company is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft and advanced surveillance systems. Candidates must hold a Commercial Pilot license with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument ratings, and have a minimum of 2000 total flight hours including 1500 hours as PIC, with a Challenger 350 type rating preferred. This mid-level position offers a competitive salary of $81,080-$141,650 annually with significant travel (75-100%) and requires US citizenship and ability to obtain DOD clearance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate company aircraft and ensure safety of airplane, passengers, and crew
- Conduct mission planning, briefing, and debriefing
- Perform Crew Resource Management (CRM) procedures
- Conduct flight plan test reviews
- Support aircraft modification efforts
- Provide company training
- Identify and assess technical issues and develop solutions
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel on aircraft discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policy, procedures, and FAR regulations
- Maintain and track all pilot qualifications, currencies, and medical requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements
- FAA Commercial Pilot Multi-Engine Land (CMEL) Instrument Aircraft rating
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 2000 hours total pilot time
- Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command
- Minimum 500 hours Cross Country
- Minimum 100 hours Instrument
- Minimum 500 hours in turbine aircraft
- Challenger 350 type rating preferred
- Four-year technical degree or equivalent professional aviation experience (5+ years)
- Strong aviation background with understanding of technical principles
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to obtain DOD clearance and customer-specific clearances
- Ability to travel domestic and international for extended periods
- US Citizenship required
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of computer operations and applications
- Ability to work independently and as a team lead
- Ability to work extended hours as required
