About This Role
The CL-604 Captain serves as Pilot in Command and is responsible for the safe and legal operation of the aircraft under FAA regulations and the DST Flight Operations Manual. The role covers flight planning, pre-flight inspections, aircraft navigation and operation, ATC coordination, in-flight monitoring, Crew Resource Management, customer communication, safety briefings, mechanical issue reporting, post-flight tasks, and aircraft administration records. This is a full-time exempt position normally working a 14-day-on/14-day-off rotation, with variable and sometimes extended workdays, evening and weekend duties, and CONUS and OCONUS travel, including extended overseas assignments when requested by customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain performs Pilot-in-Command duties and conducts safe, legal flight operations in accordance with FAA regulations and the DST Flight Operations Manual.
- Responsibilities include pre-flight planning and inspections, flight planning, aircraft navigation and flying, ATC communication and coordination of special activities, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight inspection and other post-flight tasks.
- The Captain communicates with customers to clarify flight and schedule objectives, applies effective Crew Resource Management procedures, briefs all flight participants on safety and egress procedures before flight, reports mechanical concerns to the appropriate Maintenance Department member and Chief Pilot, and completes aircraft administration documents for time tracking and manifests.

Requirements
- Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Commercial AMEL with Instrument rating, and a minimum of 2,000 hours of total flight time.
- Preferred qualifications include a CL-604 Type Rating and a bachelor's degree, along with 5,000 total-time hours, 2,000 turbojet hours, and 500 hours in the CL-604.
- Applicants must have a current passport with unrestricted international travel privileges, a current FAA First or Second Class Medical, a valid driver's license, and U.S. citizenship.
- The candidate must hold or be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret Level Clearance and must pass a DOT/FAA-regulated drug screening.
