Priester Aviation seeks an experienced Citation XLS Captain (PIC) for a 2-pilot flight department based in Wheeling, IL operating approximately 300 hours annually. The Captain will be responsible for safe aircraft operation, flight preparation, crew coordination, passenger service, and regulatory compliance. This is an exempt position requiring strong leadership skills and Part 135 experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 5000 total flight hours
- 2500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
- 2500 hours multi-engine land, with 1500 hours as multi-engine PIC
- 2000 hours in turbine aircraft
- 500 hours instrument time
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land rating
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and flight planning
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in flight planning and aviation management software
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Crew Resource Management (CRM) expertise
- Part 135 operations experience (highly desirable)
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit (preferred)
