About This Role
GFK Flight Support, Inc. is hiring a Pilot-in-Command for a corporate and charter position based in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The PIC will operate a 2014 Cirrus SR22 G5 equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics and a Garmin Digital Autopilot; the aircraft is approved for Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI). The pilot is directly responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passengers and cargo in a single-pilot environment, compliance with applicable FAR, AIM, and GOM procedures, operational decision-making, emergency response, passenger briefings, documentation, incident reporting, aircraft competency, and required company and regulatory training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot-in-Command is directly responsible for the safe and efficient transport of all passengers and for the safety of passengers and cargo during Cirrus SR22 operations.
- Duties include functioning effectively in a single-pilot environment using single-pilot resource management, assessing flight conditions while on duty, promptly notifying supervisors and passengers of operational changes, recognizing early warning signs of changing flight or aircraft conditions, and deciding whether to continue, divert, or terminate a flight.
- The PIC performs applicable emergency tasks, completes and documents a thorough aircraft walk-around at the start of each shift, conducts safety and operational briefings whenever operational status or capability changes, completes all required duty-period documentation, and submits operational, safety, and staff incident reports before the end of each shift.
- The role also requires maintaining ongoing competency in the assigned airframe, participating in company meetings, continuing education, checkoffs, and required regulatory or organizational training, maintaining age-specific competencies and safe customer-care skills, communicating with coworkers, management, and other relevant individuals, and performing other duties needed by the department or organization.
What We Offer

Requirements
- Required qualifications include Commercial Single-Engine Land (ASEL) and Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) certification, an instrument rating, a current FAA First- or Second-Class Medical Certificate, and a driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Applicants must meet FAA Part 135 minimum flight experience for PIC IFR operations.
- The posting also requires effective verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
- Preferred experience includes 1,200 hours of total time, 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time, 500 hours of cross-country time, 100 hours of night flight time, and 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument flight time, including 50 hours in actual flight.
- Previous Cirrus SR22 flight time and completion of Cirrus Advanced Transition Training by a Cirrus Authorized Flight Instructor (CSIP) are also preferred.
