About This Role
Lufthansa Aviation Training is seeking an experienced Chief Training Manager for their Switzerland operation based in Zurich. This is a permanent leadership position requiring extensive aviation training experience and proven management credentials. Candidates must have a minimum of 1000 hours PIC time, valid EASA ATPL license, and at least 500 hours of flight-related training experience. The role combines strategic training oversight with operational management responsibilities within a complex aviation organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize and manage pilot training operations within Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland
- Ensure quality assurance of pilot training programs
- Oversee training course authorization and compliance
- Participate in extended management team of LAT CH
- Develop and implement training optimization strategies
- Lead and manage training staff and operations
Requirements
- Valid EASA ATPL license
- Minimum 1000 hours PIC time
- Extensive experience in flight-related training (at least 500 hours)
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO English Level 4 or higher
- Authorization for at least one of the offered training courses
- Proven leadership experience in complex organizations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of aviation-specific laws and regulations (Part-FCL, Part-ORA)
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills
- High resilience, decisiveness, and conflict resolution competence
- Entrepreneurial understanding with ability to combine economic goals and training standards
- Must be authorized to work in Switzerland (no visa sponsorship provided)
