About This Role
Fly 7 is seeking a Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) for its ATO (Approved Training Organization) based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The role combines leadership and instruction responsibilities, including acting as Commander on Pilatus PC-12 aircraft in commercial operations while overseeing the theoretical training division. The ideal candidate must hold a CPL(A) with instructor qualifications, demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills, and possess experience with Pilatus aircraft. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape pilot training standards, develop pedagogical materials, and lead a team of instructors in an innovative, safety-focused environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as Commander on Pilatus PC-12 SET aircraft within Fly 7's commercial operations
- Develop and deliver pedagogical training materials
- Implement and monitor Fly 7 ATO standards and compliance with aviation regulations
- Train, supervise, and standardize ground instructors
- Ensure pedagogical continuity between theoretical courses and flight training across ATO programs
- Develop and implement instructor training and refresher programs in cooperation with CFI
- Record and analyze occurrences and deviations from standards
- Implement corrective and preventive actions
- Promote a safety- and compliance-driven corporate culture
- Manage and plan continuous education and career development for team members
- Integrate latest technology into ground training
- Support quality and administrative teams on ground training scope
Requirements
- Valid CPL(A) with instructor qualification
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Attention to detail and customer-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English
- French and/or German language skills preferred
- Experience on Pilatus aircraft preferred
- Based in or willing to relocate to Lausanne
