About This Role
Precision Aircraft Management — a leader in turnkey private aviation in the Rocky Mountains (aircraft management, Part 135 charter, sales, and crewing) — is hiring a Chief Pilot based in-office at Centennial Airport (APA) in Englewood, CO. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Chief Pilot oversees flight-operations compliance with FARs, supervises Lead Pilots and pilots, manages the Pilot Record Database, hiring and indoc training, check-airman designation, and FAA liaison, while maintaining personal flight proficiency. Requirements include an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, a current FAA medical, compliance with 14 CFR Part 135 currency requirements, and preferably 3+ years of aviation management experience. This is a full-time exempt role (Mon-Fri 0800-1700, with flex for currency/training) paying $175,000-$200,000 plus company-paid health, employer life insurance, 401(k) match, and PTO.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Verify Company flight operations are conducted per applicable FARs and Company policies, in coordination with the Director of Operations
- Supervise and manage all Lead Pilots and pilots not supervised under a Lead Pilot
- Review the assignment of all flight crew members
- Perform duties as a flight crew member when required for proficiency and currency
- Administer the Pilot Record Database (PRD) and evaluate records per 14 CFR 111.105 and 111.200
- Interview, hire, and discharge flight crew personnel in coordination with the D.O. and Human Resources
- Complete company indoc training for new-hire pilots, including background checks, with HR and the Director of Training
- Ensure current operations manuals (GOM, Letters of Authorization, RVSM, MEL/NEF) are carried on each aircraft
- Manage subscriptions and databases pertaining to pilot and flight operations
- Designate check airmen and aircraft flight instructors, and sufficient check pilots to maintain standardization
- Ensure all flight crews maintain current route qualifications and receive required proficiency checks
- Disseminate route, airport, NOTAM, and NAVAID information and maintain current AIM/IFIM and required manuals
- Review crew duty and flight logs for compliance and submit FAA reports as requested
- Investigate and report any aircraft accident, reportable incident, record discrepancy, or airman violation to the D.O.
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance and D.O. to minimize maintenance disruptions to flight operations
- Maintain FAA liaison, participate in Manager-on-Duty rotation and Standards/Safety Committee meetings, and serve as Alternate Security Coordinator (AOSC)

Requirements
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Current FAA medical certificate as required for flight operations
- Meets the requirements of 14 CFR Parts 119.7(c), 135.95, 135.247, 135.293, 135.297, and 135.299
- 3+ years of aviation management experience (preferred)
- College degree (preferred)
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Able to sit for extended periods and tolerate varied outdoor weather conditions
