About This Role
Directors Investment Group seeks an experienced Chief Pilot to lead all flight operations and aviation activities for their Citation XLS+ corporate jet based in Abilene, Texas. This leadership position requires strategic oversight of flight operations, crew management, scheduling, and regulatory compliance while maintaining the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate will have an ATP certificate with minimum 2,000 total flight hours and 1,500 hours PIC experience, with Citation XLS+ type rating preferred. Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all flight operations ensuring highest levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
- Supervise and manage recruitment, selection, and performance of pilots and flight personnel
- Develop and manage efficient and cost-effective flight schedules to support executive and client travel
- Coordinate aircraft scheduling with maintenance requirements to ensure operational readiness
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Communicate itinerary updates and operational changes to crew, passengers, and relevant personnel
- Perform Captain duties as required to support operational needs
- Monitor crew qualifications, certifications, and currency requirements
- Oversee fuel procurement, landing fees, and operational cost management
- Review and approve aviation-related invoices in coordination with Accounting
- Monitor aircraft usage and maintenance schedules to ensure timely inspections and repairs
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement development or corrective actions
- Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to flight staff
- Serve as Director of Flight Operations as needed

Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- Citation XLS+ type rating preferred
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,500 hours pilot-in-command experience
- Current knowledge of federal and local aviation regulations
- Leadership and aviation operations experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Legally eligible for employment in the United States
- Clean criminal record (no felony convictions in last 7 years)
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Available for full-time employment
