About This Role
FlyExclusive International seeks an experienced Chief Pilot for Cessna 208 Caravan operations based in Miami, Florida. The Chief Pilot will lead the flight department, oversee pilot training and performance, manage flight crew scheduling, and maintain regulatory compliance with FAA requirements. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years as Pilot-in-Command in Part 135 operations, 2,500 total flight hours with 500 hours turbine PIC, and 3 years of C208 experience including both land and seaplane operations. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct operation of flight department and airline pilots
  • Conduct indoctrination and refresher training for pilots
  • Review pilot performance reports and forward to FAA
  • Discuss operational and personal problems with subordinates
  • Study technical manuals and government regulations for flight operations
  • Represent company in contract negotiations with pilots' union
  • Accompany flights to observe pilot performance
  • Conduct training classes on emergency procedures and survival equipment
  • Direct preparation of flight crew schedules and personnel assignments
  • Interview and hire flight personnel
  • Pilot aircraft on scheduled flights
  • Conduct and supervise flight crew training activities
  • Advise Director of Operations on flight crew training
  • Formulate, coordinate and implement operations and training policies
  • Ensure aircraft are properly equipped for applicable operations
  • Disseminate information to crew on routes, airports, NOTAMs, NAVAIDs, policies, and regulations
  • Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command
  • Establish and lead operational best practices and safety review panel
  • Schedule flight crew members and assign PIC duties
  • Prepare and maintain proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports and correspondence
  • Submit flight personnel reports to Director of Operations
  • Maintain current Operations Manual in aircraft
  • Ensure flight crew certification and supervision per FAA requirements
  • Assist Director of Operations with operational control of flight activities
  • Conduct audits of pilot training and duty records
  • Monitor and review pilot training programs for effectiveness
  • Conduct periodic reviews of training programs and procedures for FAA/ICAO compliance
  • Serve as alternate Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience as Pilot-in-Command in Part 135 operations within the past 6 years
  • Minimum 2,500 total flight hours
  • Minimum 500 hours turbine PIC time in Part 135 environment
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating Cessna C208 Caravan with both land and seaplane experience
  • Current FAA Medical Certificate (1st Class)
  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating
  • ATP preferred
  • Free of documented flight violations, mishaps or incidents in past 10 years
  • Authorized to work lawfully in United States
  • Must provide two forms of Federal Identification
  • Successful background check including employment verification, education verification, and criminal history
  • Must be local to Miami, Florida (Home Base: TMB)
  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Well-groomed appearance and adherence to department dress code
