About This Role
Legacy AIR1 LLC is looking for a managing Aerial Mapping/Survey Chief Pilot to fly a Citabria, Maule, Cessna 172 or 172RG on commercial inspection, aerial survey and mapping flights out of Plainview, TX (KPVW). The role flies low-altitude flight plans capturing inspection data and imagery with payloads such as RGB cameras, LiDAR, thermal and methane sensors, and also covers report writing and professional interaction with customers, management and maintenance personnel. The successful candidate is a resolute worker, flexible on flying days and routes - including weekends - to accommodate weather and maintenance schedules. Duties & Responsibilities
- Fly a Citabria, Maule, Cessna 172 or 172RG on commercial inspection, aerial survey and mapping flights
- Safely fly low-altitude flight plans to capture inspection data and imagery per project specifications
- Operate fixed-wing airplanes with specified payloads such as RGB cameras, LiDAR, thermal, methane and other project-specific sensors
- Create reports and interact professionally with customers, management and maintenance personnel
