About This Role
Leading Edge Aviation, a pilot training academy based at Oxford Airport in the UK, is seeking a Chief Multi-Crew Cooperation Instructor (CMCCI) to lead their MCC training department. This full-time management position requires a qualified and current UK CAA MCCI with experience leading a team, managing simulator facilities, and delivering high-quality MCC courses on B737NG and A320 aircraft. The role combines instructional duties (approximately 4 lessons per week) with department management, course development, simulator maintenance oversight, and business expansion initiatives. The position offers a competitive salary of £68,000-£70,000 annually, 25+ days annual leave, pension contributions, healthcare benefits, and professional development support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality and engaging MCC lessons to student pilots in ground school and simulator environment
- Teach approximately 4 lessons per week
- Lead and manage the team of MCCIs and MCC department
- Provide line management and supervision of MCC instructors
- Lead planning of APS MCC training schedule for efficiency and resource optimization
- Plan and lead MCCI standardization in conjunction with nominated standards personnel
- Manage and update courseware in liaison with development team
- Participate in FSTD maintenance, subjective and objective quarterly testing
- Manage and develop new technologies including VR tool development
- Develop new courses reflecting regulatory changes and new FSTD introductions
- Liaise with Facilities Manager regarding simulator center infrastructure
- Lead initiatives to expand business dependent on FSTD use
- Manage contractor MCCI availability and cover arrangements
- Issue and recover VR headsets to students
- Perform other reasonable duties as required by the business

Requirements
- Current UK CAA qualified Multi-Crew Cooperation Instructor (MCCI)
- Dual UK/EASA MCCI qualification desirable
- TRI/TRE and SFI/SFE qualifications desirable
- Minimum 2 years experience on A320 and/or B737
- 2 years experience within the last 5 years on current airline operations desirable
- Demonstrable experience delivering APS MCC courses or previous instructor experience
- Previous simulator training management experience
- Project management experience desirable
- Department leadership experience
- People leadership experience required
- Strong report writing and IT skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite
- Ability to maintain highest personal and professional standards
- Flexible approach with ability to work shifts as per established rota
