About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Challenger 605 Captain for an operation based at KMQS near Coatesville, Pennsylvania. The role is responsible for the safe, compliant and service-focused operation of the aircraft while supporting Solairus's culture of safety, service and integrity. The Captain will work with the flight crew and client operation, complete required flight and trip documentation, and be available for on-call assignments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 605 and for conducting flights safely and prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- performing a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities and airports along the planned route, including alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- The posting requires 3,000 hours of total flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC experience, 1,500 hours of MEL experience, 500 hours of MEL PIC experience, 500 hours of turbojet time and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The successful candidate must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO International procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KMQS or be willing to relocate.
