Xcel Energy seeks experienced Captains for corporate aviation operations based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with final authority over aircraft operation
- Serve as Second in Command (SIC) as assigned, supporting the Captain
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness and completion of preflight maintenance inspections
- Prepare and file flight plans
- Calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel, and performance charts
- Review weather conditions at departure, destination, alternate, and enroute airports
- Use aircraft checklists and minimum equipment lists (MEL)
- Supervise air and ground crew in flight preparation
- Provide for safety and comfort of passengers
- Conduct safety briefings and emergency evacuation procedures
- Ensure postflight inspection completion and accurate flight time recording
- Record aircraft discrepancies for maintenance corrective action
- Complete all required aircraft forms, logs, reports, expense accounts, and payroll documentation
- Maintain required aviation knowledge and proficiency through training and self-study
- Comply with all federal, state, local, and foreign aviation regulations

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years professional pilot experience minimum
- Valid FAA ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) with multiengine land rating
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Minimum 2000 hours total fixed-wing flight time
- Minimum 500 hours turbojet time
- Minimum 1000 hours logged as PIC (Pilot-in-Command)
- Type rating in company aircraft or ability to attend factory training and pass check-ride per FAR 61.58
- Valid and current FAA Class 1 or Class 2 Medical Certificate
- English proficiency
- Valid automobile driver's license
- Valid passport
- Knowledge of GOM (General Operations Manual), SMS (Safety Management System), AFM (Aircraft Flight Manual), QRH (Quick Reference Handbook), and ERP (Emergency Response Plan Manual)
- Strong work ethic and customer service skills
- High attention to detail, adaptable, and accountable
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Preferred: Associate's degree or higher
- Preferred: Previous corporate aviation experience
- Preferred: Minimum 3000 hours total fixed-wing time
- Preferred: 1000 hours turbojet time
- Preferred: 1000 hours logged as PIC
