About This Role
SkyCare is seeking an experienced Westwind Captain to support both air ambulance and charter operations across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean from their Kitchener-Waterloo base. The role involves multi-engine turbine IFR operations on long-range and time-sensitive missions in a dynamic, multi-mission environment. Candidates must have a minimum of 3,000 total flight hours with 500 hours multi-engine PIC, current Group 1 Instrument Rating, and valid Category 1 Medical. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $80,000 to $140,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, EFAP, and a group retirement savings plan.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Exercise command authority and uphold flight safety standards
- Conduct pre-flight planning including weather analysis, fuel planning, and weight & balance
- Operate multi-engine turbine aircraft in IFR conditions across domestic and international routes
- Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, ATC, and ground handling teams
- Deliver high level of professionalism in medevac and charter operations
- Support charter and air ambulance missions including patient transport
- Respond to in-flight changes and operational challenges
- Complete post-flight duties including reporting and documentation

Requirements
- Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine PIC
- Current Group 1 Instrument Rating
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate
- Valid Canadian Passport and ability to travel internationally
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Driver's License
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Certificate
- English proficiency required
- Criminal Record Check (within last 30 days)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in team-based environment
