About This Role
Tropic Ocean Airways, the largest seaplane operator in the Eastern United States, is hiring Captains (pilots-in-command) for its fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan EX amphibious aircraft. The operator flies passengers to destinations across Florida, the Northeastern U.S., the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, landing on both water and land. This is a full-time, salaried position offered with a minimum one-year contract, and successful candidates must be willing and able to work from various locations as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as pilot-in-command of Cessna Grand Caravan EX seaplanes, safely transporting passengers to destinations throughout Florida, the Northeastern United States, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
- Operate the versatile amphibious aircraft on both water and land landings as part of the operator's growing team of seaplane aviators.
- The role is full-time and salaried under a minimum one-year contract, with availability to work from various operating locations as required.

Requirements
- 1,200 hours total flight time
- 500 hours cross-country
- 100 hours night
- 75 hours instrument
- 100 hours float time
- an FAA Commercial certificate with Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL) and Airplane Single-Engine Sea (ASES) ratings
- at least a Second-Class medical certificate
- a valid US passport or Green Card
- and an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit. Applicants must be able to repetitively lift 50 lbs, sit or stand for extended periods, and climb stairs throughout the day
Preferred Qualifications
- Garmin G1000 experience, turbine time, pilot-in-command time in the Cessna 208, and prior seaplane experience.
