About This Role
Corporate flight department of Norfolk Southern (Class I freight railway). Operate company aircraft as PIC or SIC providing safe, comfortable, efficient air transportation within Company policies and government regulations. Based in Atlanta, GA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Acts as PIC or SIC, ensures safety of flight, airworthiness of company aircraft, and meets passengers' needs.
- Reviews weather, NOTAMs, and calculates aircraft Performance and Weight and Balance.
- Files flight plans and ensures compliance with FAA regulations and ICAO standards.
- Operates aircraft in compliance with Manufacturer and Company SOPs.
- Addresses passenger needs such as security requirements, ground transportation, catering, and baggage handling.
- Contributes to the Flight Department's SMS.
- Trains and maintains certification on NS aircraft.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Requirements
- Minimum Level: 1,500 hours total time
- 500 hours multi-engine turbine. Preferred Level: 6-10 years corporate flying experience
- 5,000 hours total time
- 2,500 hours multiengine Jet
- recent International Experience. Licenses/Certifications Required: ATP-CTP completed
- valid US Passport
- FAA First Class Medical
Preferred Qualifications
- CL-604 Type Rating (604/605/650) or EMB-550 Type Rating. Preferred education: Bachelor's Degree.
