About This Role
Keewatin Air, a leader in Canadian air ambulance services for over 50 years, is seeking an experienced PC-12 Captain based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Operating throughout the Arctic and Northern Canada, the company provides 24-hour emergency aeromedical transport and charter services. This role requires a minimum of 2000 total flight hours with 500 PIC hours on turboprop/turbojet aircraft, plus 100 hours on type, along with a valid ATPL license and Canadian passport. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate PC-12 aircraft in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and company procedures
  • Conduct pre-flight familiarization including route planning, weather analysis, aerodrome assessment, and alternate plan development
  • Ensure flight safety and compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations before departure
  • Follow Air Traffic Control, communications, and weather reporting procedures
  • Adhere to checklists for various flight phases and follow Operations Manual and Flight Manual instructions
  • Monitor aircraft operation within parameters for patient transport and report deviations in Captain's Trip Report
  • Report known or suspected aircraft defects to maintenance and record in Journey Log
  • Complete and submit associated paperwork including Journey Log, Flight Manifests, Captain's Trip Report, Load Control forms, and Dangerous Goods documentation
  • Check weather for unusual conditions and take precautions to protect aircraft during stop-over
  • Carry out duties as detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
  • Make critical decisions regarding flight paths, weather conditions, and ability to handle emergencies effectively

Requirements
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) license
  • Minimum 2000 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 500 hours pilot-in-command on turboprop or turbojet aircraft
  • Minimum 100 hours on PC-12 type
  • Valid Canadian Passport with ability to travel abroad unrestricted
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to obtain Driving Airside License (D/A)
  • Able to obtain and maintain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Clear criminal record, Child Abuse Registry, and Vulnerable Sectors Check
  • Fully vaccinated with a Canadian-approved COVID-19 vaccination
  • Strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
  • MEDEVAC/Air Ambulance experience considered an asset
  • Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training considered an asset
