About This Role
NextEra Energy, Inc., America's leading energy company, is seeking an experienced Pilot-Captain to join their Aviation team based in West Palm Beach, Florida. The successful candidate will serve as pilot in command of assigned aircraft, safely transporting passengers to scheduled destinations while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of flying experience with no accidents, incidents, or FAA violations, along with an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and valid First Class Medical. This full-time, exempt position offers relocation assistance (if applicable) and requires residency within driving distance of Palm Beach International Airport.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as pilot in command of assigned aircraft
- Safely transport passengers to scheduled destinations
- Comply with schedules and directives governing aircraft operation
- Perform pre- and post-flight inspections
- Select safe and efficient flight routes
- Review weather, aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance information
- Assist passengers with various needs during scheduled flights
- Perform collateral duties related to Aviation Department activities
- Complete special aviation projects as assigned
- Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of flying experience with no accidents, incidents, or FAA violations
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Valid US passport
- Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time (1,500 fixed-wing multi-engine turbine / 1,500 rotorcraft turbine)
- Reside within driving distance to KPBI (Palm Beach International Airport)
- Must be able to work full-time on-site (not remote)
- DA-20 or EMB 550 type rating preferred
- Proactive decision-making skills
- Strong customer service skills
