Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. seeks an experienced Captain to serve as Pilot in Command of their business jet operations based in Farmingdale, NY. MSG Entertainment is a leader in live entertainment, operating world-renowned venues including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and The Chicago Theatre. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5000 total flight hours with 1500 PIC hours and 2000 turbine hours, along with 500 hours in the specific aircraft type. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $200,000-$320,000 USD annually, requiring flexibility to work in a 24/7 on-demand charter environment with the ability to be wheels-up within 3 hours of first call.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) with final authority for aircraft operation
- Promote and maintain strong safety culture within MSG Aviation
- Conduct weather analysis and make mission-critical decisions regarding flight viability
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers consistent with regulatory requirements
- Ensure aircraft cleanliness and passenger safety/comfort preparation
- Prepare flight plans and contingency plans
- Calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel requirements, and performance charts
- Conduct thorough preflight inspections per regulatory requirements
- Manage and coordinate flight and cabin crew performance
- Mentor crew members and assess advancement potential
- Maintain compliance with all Federal, state, local, and foreign aviation regulations
- Ensure adherence to MSG Aviation Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and SOPs
- Serve as visible department representative to client passengers
- Participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot License
- Minimum 5000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Minimum 2000 hours turbine/jet time
- Minimum 500 hours in the specific aircraft type to be commanded
- Valid FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Experience operating under 14 CFR Part 91 (required)
- Experience in 14 CFR Part 135 operations considered
- Bachelor's degree in Business Aviation, Safety, Operations Management, or equivalent
- ICAO Standards and applicable International Jurisdiction Regulations knowledge
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent working relationships with FAA and aviation training providers
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to respond to on-demand unscheduled trips with 3-hour response time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Valid corrected or uncorrected vision suitable for night/low-light operations
