About This Role
Jet Linx is seeking an experienced Pilot in Command for their Learjet 45 midsize jet aircraft operating Part 91 and Part 135 flights from their Wheeling, Illinois base. The position requires a minimum of 3500 total flight hours with 2000 hours as PIC and 250 hours in type. This is a prime opportunity for experienced captains with strong command experience and a desire to work in business aviation. The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $145,000 to $200,000 annually, comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. Candidates must be willing to relocate within 2 hours of the base and maintain availability for standby duty assignments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Learjet 45 aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures
- Manage duty, flight, and rest times to meet company and CFR requirements
- Prepare aircraft for safe and efficient operations
- Maintain communication with company for standby duty assignments and trip notifications
- Maintain and manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications
- Ensure navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight reports
- Demonstrate strong, proactive decision-making skills
- Maintain current 1st Class medical certificate

Requirements
- Minimum 3500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 2000 hours PIC
- Minimum 250 hours in Learjet 45 type
- Minimum 250 hours PIC in type
- Minimum 1500 hours multi-engine time
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine PIC
- Minimum 500 hours turbine/jet time
- Minimum 300 hours instrument time
- Valid ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) license or ability to obtain
- Valid 1st Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio License
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Current passport
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in type within last 24 months preferred
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing
- Pass FAA Pilot Record Database review
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to relocate or live within 2-hour call-out time of base
