About This Role
Metrea, a defense company specializing in national security solutions, seeks an experienced King Air Captain for its Special Air Missions Group to lead deployed Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations. This position serves as Pilot in Command for multi-sensor ISR missions supporting US Government and allied objectives in dynamic environments. Candidates must have minimum 1,000 PIC hours, 100 multi-engine hours, 2+ years operational experience, and an ATP or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) and crew lead for deployed multi-sensor ISR flight operations
- Plan, brief, execute, and debrief ISR missions in accordance with Contractor Procedures and SOPs
- Lead assigned flight and mission crews with effective communication and crew resource management
- Promote and implement Safety Management System (SMS) and identify operational hazards
- Maintain flight currency, medical qualification, and proficiency in assigned aircraft
- Oversee aircraft preflight, mission configuration, and performance calculations
- Exercise sound judgment and tactical decision-making in dynamic deployed environments
- Act as primary in-flight liaison between crew, site operations leadership, and mission command
- Provide accurate mission documentation, reports, and debriefs
- Mentor and develop less experienced aircrew
- Operate effectively in remote and austere environments
- Protect classified and sensitive information in accordance with security policies

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years equivalent aviation experience
- FAA Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land Certificate with Instrument Rating, or ATP Certificate
- FAA First or Second-Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time
- Minimum 100 hours multi-engine time
- At least 2 years operational experience in civil or military aviation
- Solid understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), particularly 14 CFR Parts 61 and 91
- Working knowledge of Aviation Management Systems, Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Risk Management Frameworks
- Skilled in aviation weather analysis, flight planning, and flight following tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Must meet all FAA records and background requirements
- Acceptable review of FAA Pilot Records Database (PRD)
- Active US Secret Security Clearance required
- Must be a US citizen and eligible to access classified information
- Current US Passport required
- Current US driver's license required
- Ability to be on-call and available for non-standard work hours
- Ability to operate in austere and remote environments
