About This Role
United Therapeutics, a publicly-traded biotech/pharmaceutical company, seeks an experienced Captain to pilot their Gulfstream fleet. The role involves providing safe and reliable air transportation for company executives and guests while maintaining full responsibility for aircraft safety and operations. Candidates must have a minimum of 3,000 total flight hours with 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command, plus a valid GV or GVII type rating or large cabin aircraft experience. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain full control and responsibility for aircraft safety, efficiency, and smooth operation
  • Prepare detailed flight plans based on route review, weather reports, flight restrictions, and NOTAMs
  • Ensure all aircraft systems and on-board safety/navigation equipment are in working order
  • Complete pre-flight checks and brief cabin crew members
  • Act as Pilot in Command and coordinate with crew to provide safe air transportation
  • Track and log all technical issues and complete required flight documentation
  • Perform non-flight duties supporting aviation department operations
  • Assist with safety officer responsibilities and Flight Operations Manual updates for regulatory compliance

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 12+ years of experience as a licensed commercial pilot
  • 5+ years of experience as an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
  • Valid First Class Medical Certificate
  • GV Type Rating or GVII Type Rating or Large Cabin Aircraft Experience
  • Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command
  • Strong understanding of international rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of in-flight safety procedures
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Detail-oriented and professional demeanor
  • Ability to fly multiple aircraft within United Therapeutics fleet; training provided if needed
  • Flexibility and adaptability
