About This Role
Eastman Chemical Company, a global specialty materials company headquartered in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking an experienced Captain to serve as Pilot-in-Command for their corporate aviation operations. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the safe operation of assigned Gulfstream aircraft and all passengers, crew, and cargo aboard. Candidates must possess an ATP certificate with a minimum of 3,500 total flight hours (500+ in jet aircraft), a valid First Class Medical Certificate, and advanced proficiency with high-altitude aircraft. Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with all FARs, manufacturer operating procedures, company SOPs, and international aviation rules
- Comply with schedules and directives governing aircraft operation
- Ensure aircraft is released for flight by qualified maintenance personnel and perform preflight inspections
- Review and calculate weight and balance, fuel on board, and aircraft performance charts
- Analyze weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate, and departure airports
- Prepare and file flight plans and complete aircraft flight logs
- Make decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights based on operational conditions
- Report unsafe conditions or hazardous weather to ATC
- Supervise passenger loading and verify proper identification and manifest accuracy
- Delegate duties to Second-in-Command and coordinate crew functioning
- Conduct preflight and postflight briefings with flight crew
- Ensure qualified personnel handle aircraft and supervise all servicing, towing, or storage
- Oversee maintenance work performed on assigned aircraft
- Maintain currency and proficiency in assigned aircraft types (maximum two aircraft requiring type ratings)
- Maintain personal records including FAA medical certificate, airman certificates, passport, and proficiency checks
- Act as SIC and perform SIC duties as needed
- Perform secondary non-flying activities as assigned by Director of Aviation

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with appropriate type ratings
- Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 500 flight hours in jet aircraft
- Gulfstream experience desirable
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Multi-Engine, Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- FCC radio telephone permit
- Current on all instrument flight time and night landing currency requirements
- Ability to pass an instrument competency check in category of aircraft to be flown
