About This Role
Captain position at Jet Aviation flying a Gulfstream 550 based in Farmingdale, New York, in a private/business aviation environment. The Captain takes full command responsibility for safe and efficient operation of the aircraft across domestic and global routes, leads the crew, acts as TSA Flight Security Coordinator under the twelve-five/private charter security program, and delivers premium service to private clientele. Anticipated salary range $275,000-$300,000.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take command of all assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure safety and compliance with federal, local, and company regulations. Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions. Perform the functions of the TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the twelve five standard security program or private charter standard security program as applicable
- conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the second in command. Support open communication on safety issues, report hazards, and record/report all aircraft discrepancies. Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate trip paperwork according to company procedures. Represent Jet Aviation as a Brand Ambassador.
Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical required.
- 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours Multi-Engine, 500 hours Turbo-Jet, 500 hours Turbine, 100 hours Night and 75 hours Simulated Instrument.
- Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles.
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions.
- High school diploma required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Appropriate Aircraft type rating and currency.
- College degree preferred.
