About This Role
TAG Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain for a Global Express XRS position based in Virginia, United States. The Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, maintaining a strong record of safety and professionalism, and providing exceptional customer service while working with clients and team members. The role operates within a 24/7 environment and requires schedule flexibility, strong communication skills, a valid FAA licence, a Class One Medical, at least 5,000 hours of total flight time, and at least 2,500 hours of PIC experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and for providing exceptional customer service to the client.
- Duties include performing pre-flight checks, confirming that all aircraft systems are functioning properly, communicating effectively with air traffic control and ground personnel, maintaining accurate flight-time and fuel-consumption records, and complying with all safety regulations and company policies.
- The role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and flexibility to support 24/7 operations.
Requirements
- Applicants must have at least five years of experience as a Captain, hold a valid FAA licence, and possess a Class One Medical Certificate.
- The posting requires a minimum of 5,000 hours of total flight time and 2,500 hours of PIC time.
- A Global Express type rating is preferred rather than stated as mandatory.
- Candidates must also have the unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
