About This Role
Sirio, a premier aircraft management company with over 40 years of experience and part of the Directional Aviation Portfolio, is seeking an experienced Global Express XRS Captain to join their dynamic team based in Bologna, Italy. This role combines professional aviation expertise with world-class in-flight service delivery, managing client and charter operations with a team of 5 pilots on a 10/7 roster schedule. The successful candidate must hold a valid EASA ATPL with 2,500 total flight hours, 500 hours as Pilot in Command, and multi-pilot instrument experience, along with a Class 1 Medical and EU passport. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly respected aircraft management company operating from Farnborough Airport headquarters, managing nearly 20 aircraft with strategic operations worldwide.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and efficient execution of assigned flight schedules in accordance with all regulatory and manufacturer guidelines
- Welcome and engage with passengers pre-flight with detailed briefings on trip details, weather updates, and any changes
- Serve as liaison between passengers and Sirio throughout entire journey from FBO arrival to departure
- Deliver in-flight service including responsible handling of alcohol and catering service
- Load and stow baggage with meticulous care
- Perform thorough cabin cleaning, organization, and stocking procedures before each trip
- Maintain cabin integrity and cleanliness standards
- Complete pre-flight and post-flight checks
- Assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather as required
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned based on specific assignments

Requirements
- Valid EASA ATPL license (UK CAA ATPL & Medical desirable but not mandatory)
- Minimum 2,500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours Pilot in Command Under Supervision time
- Minimum 250 hours Multi Pilot Instrument Time
- ME-IR (A) rating on EASA License
- MCC Course certificate or Multi Pilot Rating on EASA License
- Advanced UPRT qualification or completion of ORO.FC.220 or ORO.FC.230 training within preceding 3 years
- Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Valid EU Passport
- English Language Proficiency minimum level 5
- Italian language proficiency preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Previous experience in Commercial Air Transport and Corporate operations desirable
- Legal right to work in Europe and/or the UK
- Ability to travel throughout Europe and to all countries where Flexjet serves
- Ability to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays and overnight trips
- Willingness to be based in Bologna, Italy
- Must complete Initial Training including Type Rating on assigned fleet
