About This Role
Contour Airlines is hiring a full-time, home-based Captain to operate Embraer Regional Jet 135/145 aircraft from the Smyrna, Tennessee domicile. The role emphasizes safety, disciplined compliance with company procedures, customer-focused service, professional leadership, and reliable operation within demanding schedules. Current and potential domicile assignments will be discussed during the interview process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain must put safety first, comply with schedules and all directives governing safe aircraft operation, and perform company-assigned duties in accordance with manuals, memoranda, and policies.
- Responsibilities include diligent preflight planning, preparing flight plans, delivering excellent passenger service, ensuring the aircraft is clean and stocked with provisions needed for passenger safety and comfort, wearing the company-issued uniform, following the uniform policy, and completing other duties assigned by leadership.

Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 23 years old, hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record, maintain a current passport, and possess a U.S. ATP license, current first-class medical, commercial multi-engine land license, instrument airplane rating, and English Proficiency Endorsement. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, able to travel internationally, and able to understand, read, and write English. The process includes a 10-year work-history review, criminal-history, reference, and national driver-record checks, review of check-ride history, DOT pre-employment drug screening, and FAA and company random drug and alcohol testing. - candidates must routinely be able to lift 75 pounds and report within 120 minutes of a dispatch call during assigned duty periods. Applicants must have no previous aviation-related accidents or incidents. Flight-time thresholds are 1,500 hours total time minimum with 2,000 recommended, 500 hours of pilot-in-command time minimum with 1,000 recommended, and 500 hours of multi-engine time with 1,000 recommended.
