About This Role
Developmental/experimental flight-test pilot role at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation (a General Dynamics company) in Savannah, GA. Acts as project test pilot under the Chief Developmental Test Pilot, conducting developmental, engineering, and experimental test flights for new and existing aircraft product development, supporting FAA/EASA certification.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • As project test pilot, conduct developmental, engineering, and experimental test flights in support of new and ongoing flight test projects.
  • Provide the Flight Operations and Test interface to Major Programs and Innovation, Engineering and Flight Test in the development of new technology.
  • Debrief engineering personnel on ground and flight test results and report them in written Flight Test Reports.
  • Represent GAC in meetings with FAA and EASA representatives regarding certification.
  • Review and critique developmental and certification test plans.
  • Provide ground and flight instruction to company and customer flight crews on new aircraft products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering or technically related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years progressively responsible experience in flight operations and flight test to include at least three (3) years progressively responsible management and/or supervisory experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Gulfstream Type Rating Required.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot license (ATP/ATPL) or ability to attain ATP/ATPL.
  • FAA Aircraft Multi-Engine land (AMEL) license, with appropriate Type Rating(s).
  • Graduate of a recognized Test Pilot School or Significant Equivalent Experience in Experimental Flight Test.
  • FAA Class I Medical required.
  • FAA Flight Instructor certificate (desired).
