About This Role
Summit Air is seeking experienced Dash 8 Captains to join its Vancouver base. The role involves safely and efficiently operating Dash 8-300 aircraft throughout Northern Canada as pilot in command, supporting passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized aviation solutions for industrial and other clients. The company operates across Canada from a strong northern and remote-aviation base and emphasizes customer service, operational efficiency, and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Dash 8-300 aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as pilot in command.
- Remain current with all available flight information, including weather and applicable NOTAMs where available, and verify type A flight plans for accuracy.
- Participate in aircraft pre-flight inspections and complete all post-flight duties, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Requirements
- The qualifications section lists 4,000 hours of total flight time, 2,500 hours of PIC time, and 2,000 hours of MPIC time.
- BC flying experience is described as a strong asset.
- Applicants should hold a Dash 8 PPC that has not been expired for more than 24 months, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and show a commitment to a safety culture.
- Successful completion of the employer’s pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements is also required.
