About This Role
PAL Aerospace, a leader in international aerospace and defence, is seeking experienced Captains to operate DHC-8 special-mission aircraft for their Force Multiplier (FM) division based in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, Canada. FM provides on-demand intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services to military, government, and civilian clients, with crews maintaining continual readiness to operate globally. Candidates must have 4000 total flight hours including 1500 PIC hours on the Dash 8, plus 1000 hours of Maritime Patrol Aircraft or Special Missions experience. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate DHC-8 special-mission aircraft on long and medium-range surveillance operations
  • Maintain continual readiness to operate in Canada and around the world
  • Conduct missions of 8-9 hours in DHC-8 platforms
  • Work independently and as part of motivated crew delivering mission outputs
  • Work during early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays during On Duty periods
  • Travel with aircraft on rotational basis for extended rotations domestically and internationally

Requirements
  • 4000 hours total flight time
  • 500 hours minimum on DHC-8
  • 1500 hours PIC on Dash 8 or similar aircraft
  • 1000 hours Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) or Special Missions experience
  • Valid ATPL license
  • Ability to obtain required security clearances
  • Ability to travel frequently, including international travel
  • Ability to participate in rotations as required
  • Pass medical testing requirements
  • Able to swim and complete Underwater Egress Training
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (implied)
  • Military experience considered an asset
