About This Role
KBR is seeking an experienced C/KC-130 Pilot to serve as Aircraft Commander supporting flight test and evaluation operations at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) with Air Test and Evaluation Squadron THREE ZERO (VX-30) at NAS Point Mugu, California. The position requires a minimum of 1,000 hours in the C-130 aircraft with Aircraft Commander designation, plus 3+ years of Test Project Officer experience in military test and evaluation. This role offers a competitive salary range of $155,000-$225,000 annually, comprehensive benefits including 401(k) matching, medical/dental/vision insurance, and professional development opportunities. Candidates must be US Citizens with a current DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one, a valid FAA Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Land rating, and capability to maintain FAA Class II medical certification.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as Aircraft Commander for C/KC-130 aircraft
  • Support flight test, aerial refueling, logistics, and post-maintenance check flights
  • Direct aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting
  • Support collateral tasks within customer flight program
  • Perform duties as instructor for K/C-130 mission sets including aerial refueling and logistics
  • Conduct post-maintenance check flying
  • Support range operations and flight test activities

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 10 years of related military/test and evaluation experience
  • 3 or more years of Test Project Officer experience in military test and evaluation
  • Minimum 1,000 pilot hours in C-130 aircraft
  • Designated as Aircraft Commander in C-130
  • Instructor experience or designation as flight crew check pilot
  • Type/Model/Series Instructor in C/KC-130J and/or Legacy C-130 aircraft
  • FAA Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Land rating
  • FAA or Military Instrument Flight Rule certified
  • Valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate or Navy Aeromedical Standard Service Group 1 equivalent
  • Meet current CNAF 3710.7 series physical and physiological minimums
  • Pass physical and training qualification requirements
  • Completion of survival and aviation physiology training
  • Current DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain
  • US Citizenship required
  • Able to travel up to 25% as required by contract
