About This Role
Silver Air, a premier private jet operator based in San Jose, is seeking an experienced Challenger 605 Captain for their growing fleet. This full-time position offers competitive compensation of $250,000-$270,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits including paid training, medical coverage, and a personalized schedule with 10 days off monthly. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a minimum of 3,500 total flight hours, 3,000 hours as PIC, and previous Part 135 experience. This role combines the responsibility of safe aircraft operation with the luxury service demands of high-end charter flying in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Challenger 605 aircraft safely and in accordance with all regulations
- Review maintenance status of aircraft to ensure airworthiness
- Conduct pre-flight inspections per approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- Check weather conditions and facilities along planned route
- Evaluate alternate airport options for flight planning
- Ensure all flights comply with Silver Air policies and Federal Aviation Regulations
- Maintain safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- Complete all trip paperwork accurately and in accordance with procedures

Requirements
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) license
- Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 3,000 hours as Pilot in Command
- Minimum 3,000 hours multi-engine time
- Minimum 2,000 hours multi-engine PIC
- 1,750 hours total turbine time preferred
- Minimum 200 hours on CL-604/CL-605 type aircraft
- Minimum 100 hours as PIC on CL-604/CL-605
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate
- CL-604 type rating required
- Previous Part 135 experience preferred
- ICAO Annex I compliant (2.1.1.0)
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization
- Strong customer service skills
