About This Role
Cargojet, Canada's leading overnight air cargo airline, is seeking experienced Captains to operate their B767 fleet across North America. Candidates must hold a valid ATPL with minimum 5000 total hours and either 3000 hours PIC on transport jets or 500 hours PIC on type B767/B757. This position offers a competitive annual salary of CAD $143,920 with health benefits, retirement contributions, and no training bonds required for new hires.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate B767 aircraft on overnight cargo routes across North America
- Assume responsibility for the operation and safety of the aircraft and all persons on board
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning including route analysis, weather assessment, and flight planning
- Verify aircraft airworthiness and ensure proper maintenance release
- Monitor load distribution and verify aircraft weight and balance compliance
- Ensure adequate fuel loads and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Brief First Officer on flight conditions and procedures
- Operate aircraft in accordance with all regulations, AFM, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate watch on fuel consumption versus flight plan
- Execute approved checklists for all phases of flight
- Maintain continuous communication with dispatch on flight progress
- Complete post-flight duties including defect reporting and journey log documentation
- Complete all required company and regulatory documents
- Report any accidents, incidents, or anomalies to appropriate authorities and dispatch
- Record and report observations of volcanic activity or other significant events

Requirements
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATPL) license
- Minimum 5000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 3000 hours PIC on transport jet aircraft OR 500 hours PIC on B767/B757
- B767 type rating required
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher
- Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
- Able to obtain crew visas for US operations
- Eligible to obtain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Clean criminal record and security clearance capable
- Must abstain from cannabis consumption in and outside the workplace
- Minimum 21 years of age
