About This Role
SunExpress seeks an experienced Captain for B737NG operations, combining German and Turkish aviation expertise within a professional European airline model. Based in Turkey, this role is ideal for seasoned airline pilots with significant command experience on large aircraft. Candidates must hold an ATPL license with a minimum of 4000 total flight hours, including 500 hours as PIC (300+ as Commander on MTOW >27,000 kg aircraft), plus 3 years of airline pilot experience. The position offers the opportunity to operate modern Boeing 737NG aircraft with a well-established carrier blending two aviation traditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate B737NG aircraft on scheduled routes
- Lead and manage flight operations as Pilot in Command
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and crew briefings
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
- Manage crew resource management and cockpit operations
What We Offer
Type rating training arranged through SunExpress TRTOOption to pay type rating training fees from payroll over 3-year service contract
Requirements
- Valid ATPL (A) license
- Valid PART-MED Class 1 Medical Certificate
- High School/Gymnasium graduation or equivalent
- Minimum 4000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 1500 hours on aircraft with MTOW >27,000 kg
- Minimum 3 years airline pilot experience (from type rating endorsement date)
- Minimum 500 hours PIC experience, of which at least 300 hours as Commander on aircraft with MTOW >27,000 kg
- ICAO English Level 4 or higher
- Maximum age 59 years + 364 days for type rated, 57 years + 364 days for non-type rated when starting ground course
- B737NG type rating required
- No administrative penalty from DGCA or related civil aviation authority
