About This Role
7 Air is seeking an experienced Cargo Captain to lead flight operations and ensure safe, efficient transportation of cargo from their Miami, Florida base. As a growing cargo airline, 7 Air values safety, precision, and professionalism in their operations. This Captain role requires a valid FAA ATP certificate, previous PIC experience (preferably in cargo), and strong leadership skills to manage flight crews and maintain FAA compliance. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) and take full responsibility for flight operations
- Ensure all flights comply with FAA regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to confirm aircraft readiness
- Safely perform takeoffs, landings, and all phases of flight
- Monitor weather, aircraft systems, and flight conditions to make informed decisions
- Coordinate with co-pilots, crew members, dispatch, and air traffic control
- Communicate with Flight Operations regarding any delays, changes, or issues
- Ensure compliance with flight, duty, and rest requirements (Part 121)
- Monitor fuel usage, engine performance, and aircraft systems
- Lead, mentor, and support flight crew members
- Conduct pre-flight briefings and post-flight debriefings
- Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation
- Represent 7 Air with professionalism at all times

Requirements
- Valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Previous experience as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), preferably in cargo operations
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and flight safety procedures
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to pass company training and maintain qualifications
- Must be under 65 years of age (FAA requirement)
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules
