About This Role
Air India Express, part of the Air India Group, is seeking experienced Captains (PIC) with B737 type rating or equivalent jet experience to join their flight operations team based in Gurugram, India. The airline is recruiting both type-rated pilots with a minimum of 100 PIC hours on B737 Family aircraft and non-type-rated captains with substantial commercial jet or military jet experience. Candidates must be Indian nationals with a valid ATPL, current IR, valid Class 1 Medical, and ICAO English Level 4+ proficiency. The selection process includes psychometric assessment, personal interview, simulator proficiency test, and medical examination, with preference given to candidates available to join immediately.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate B737 aircraft on scheduled flights
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures
- Manage crew resource management
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and crew briefings
Requirements
- Indian national
- Valid ATPL license with current/valid IR and Pilot's Proficiency Check
- Valid FRTOL (Flying Refresher Training of Licence)
- Valid COP/RTR (Certificate of Proficiency/Recency Training)
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO Aviation English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above endorsed on Indian ATPL Certificate
- Minimum 100 PIC hours on B737 Family Aircraft (for type-rated captains)
- Minimum 500 hours on Commercial Jets OR equivalent military jet experience
- For non-type-rated captains: 3000 total flying hours with 1000 hours airline experience on Turboprop and minimum 500 PIC hours with Scheduled Operator
- For non-type-rated captains: 3000 total flying hours with 1000 hours airline experience on Turboprop and minimum 1500 PIC hours with Non-scheduled Operator with AUW exceeding 15 tons
- For military jet captains: minimum 500 hours on Military Jets >70 Tons (IL-76, C-17, B777, P8)
- Maximum age limit 62 years (for type-rated captains)
- Maximum age limit 60 years (for non-type-rated captains)
- Incident/accident-free record
- Clean breath analyzer test
- No enforcement action taken by DGCA in preceding 3 years
- Mandatory eGCA-id with all licenses and documents validated
